Odoo2Fast.Report Core System is the foundation of the entire Odoo2Fast.Report solution for Odoo 19 and enables professional PDF generation straight from your daily Odoo work. Users produce high-quality business documents with individual layouts, in several languages and in various output formats.

FR-Designer — design your layouts yourself

You edit this bundle’s report templates with FR-Designer, a standalone application for Windows, macOS and Linux. Open an FRX template, change the layout, fields and formatting, and save it back — without restarting Odoo.

Since version 1.9.0 the designer speaks MCP (Model Context Protocol). Claude Code, Claude Desktop and other MCP clients read and edit the open report directly — 17 tools, from querying the report structure to inserting text, tables and barcodes. The server is off by default, listens on 127.0.0.1 only, requires a token with every request and asks before every change.

FR-Designer is a separate desktop application, not an Odoo module.

Configuring Odoo2Fast.Report

Odoo2Fast.Report Core replaces Odoo's built-in PDF engine (wkhtmltopdf/QWeb) with the Odoo2Fast.Report designer for any report you choose. Full-text search and module card come from Help Docs (eq_helper). This module ships the content — no extra configuration.

A consistent, professional look

Documents are produced with a uniform corporate design. Headers, footers and company branding are consistent and appear in every printout without any manual effort.

Multilingual documents at the click of a button

Quotations, invoices or delivery notes appear in the language stored on the contact — directly when printing, with no second template. The shipped templates are translated into nine languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian and Serbian. You add further languages in the template yourself — as many as you like, with no limit.

Flexible content & calculated fields

Decide exactly which information appears on a document — hide superfluous fields. Need a calculated value that is not stored in the system? Add it through configurable calculations, without programming.

Over 25 barcode formats

From EAN and Code128 to QR — barcodes embed directly into documents, ideal for logistics and warehousing.

Versatile output & secure operation

Besides PDF, documents can also be produced as Excel, Word or OpenOffice files. The connection to the rendering service runs over a secured, token-based channel, and multi-company setups keep documents and settings cleanly separated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Odoo editions are supported?

Odoo2Fast.Report Core System works on Odoo Community and Enterprise, version 19.0 — self-hosted or on Odoo.sh. Odoo Online, the hosted SaaS edition, does not accept apps from the store, so no third-party module can run there.

What are the prerequisites?

It builds on standard Odoo and is the foundation for all other Odoo2Fast.Report modules. A reachable FastReport rendering service is required for PDF generation.

Is the setup complicated?

The connection to the rendering service is configured once by an administrator in the settings; afterwards everything runs automatically in the background.

Will it keep working after an Odoo update?

Yes, within the 19.0.x series. To keep individually customised reports safe during updates, the Protection System module of this bundle is available.
