Article numbers that assign themselves, and a cost price you can prove.

Product Extensions

Two things usually end up in a spreadsheet next to the ERP: which article number is still free, and what a supplier charged for a part two years ago. Product Extensions brings both into Odoo — numbers drawn automatically and checked for duplicates, and a cost price history that records old value, new value and date on every change. It is the main module of the Products bundle.

Modules in this bundle

This is the main module of the Products bundle (package: DACH). It includes:

Features

Automatic article numbers, checked for duplicates

The next free number is drawn when a product is created, and an already-assigned number is rejected on save instead of being accepted quietly. Manual entry stays possible where a scheme requires it.

Cost price history with old and new value

Every change to the cost price is recorded with both values and the date. Before an annual negotiation you can show a supplier how often and by how much they raised their prices — and a costing check can look up which price applied at the time of a given order.

Access to the price history can be restricted

Purchase prices are not for everyone. The history has its own access rights, so it is visible to purchasing and costing without opening it up to every user who can see a product.

Supplier information with more room

The supplier details on a product carry additional fields and sit where they are reached without hunting — including the supplier's own article number that the purchase order needs.

Control over what appears on documents

A setting decides whether the internal product description is carried into sales and purchase lines. Internal notes intended for the warehouse do not reach the customer by accident.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the price history fill up retroactively?

No. Recording starts with installation, because the earlier values are not stored anywhere to reconstruct. From then on every change is captured.

What if our numbering scheme allows duplicates?

Then add Product Variants from the same bundle: it lifts the uniqueness constraint, so a template and its variants can share one number.

Which Odoo editions are supported?

The module runs on Odoo Community and Odoo Enterprise, version 19.0 — self-hosted or on Odoo.sh. Odoo Online, the hosted SaaS edition, does not accept apps from the store, so no third-party module can run there.

Which other modules does it require?

It requires base, base_setup, product, purchase, sale. Odoo resolves and installs these dependencies itself when you install the module.

Under which license is the module published?

The module is published under the LGPL-3 open-source license.

Will it keep working after an Odoo update?

Yes, within 19.0.x. A move to the next major Odoo version is delivered as a new module version.

Where do I get support?

Can I see the module in action first?

We do not run a public demo instance. Write to support@equitania.deand we will walk you through it.
